Aren't we all equal?

All the faces around me.

During my commute to the office this morning, as usual, met with the so-common rush hour crowd that graced our train stations and pedestrian roads. Took a few glances at the faces of people that walked with me, or in my direction. One thought came to my mind and I was reminded that we are all God's children.

Listening to "For the One" by Bethel Music, this song was a prayer to God to help us to love others like he does. This song impressed heavily on my heart that "Love" is all that matters in this world. Of course, there will be many varying definitions of "Love" in this time and age. Yet, Love is the only thing that will allow us to see the truth and through our lives, tell of who He is, our good Father.

What is the difference between us?

We are all designed and created by God, in his image. In the end, we are all God's children. Yet, some are perceived to be "higher" or "lower", in terms of prestige and status achieved in life. Possessions (e.g. money, cars, your job status) sometimes caused us to feel superior to others, yet it is through love, that we learn to be humble and to be able to love others as God first loved us.

This life that we are living now is a "great test" of how we choose to live it, considering all the temptations and distractions of earthly material possessions, the question is whether are we still able to love others like He does.

It will not be easy, yet this is my prayer to all who will read this post, that you may be reminded of who God is in your life, and to place Him first in anything you do. God will guide your journey in this life that he created for us.
